Shahadah
Shahadah is a statement professing monotheism and accepting Muhammad as God’s messenger. The shahadah is a set statement normally recited in Arabic “‘ašhadu ‘al-lā ilāha illā-llāhu wa ‘ash-ha-du ‘anna mu-ham-ma-dan ‘ab-du-hoo wa ra-soo-luh”, translated as: “[I profess that] There is no other God worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.” “Allah” means “God” in Arabic.

The word “Murridiya” is derived from the Arab word “Al-Murid. By description, a Murid is a person who is on the path that leads to success in this world and the next, by following the path laid by our Holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). The embodiment of these principles is in the Islamic legal system (“shari’ah”) and to keep himself away from any violation of the latter whether in the concept, the expression and the daily action.
