A message of peace and unity

By virtue of its lofty principles and teachings, Islam (which is a complete way of life) remains the sole religious cepeplex not only of saving humanity from the abyss but also of getting off its ailments and bringing solutions to its crises, providing that and the most appropriate means are carefully selected and presented to the non Muslims.

In our humble opinion, a Nation like the US, which has attained a very high and sophisticated technological development needs more than even spiritual nourishment.

And the mourid Islamic Community in an attempt to foster that had been organizing cultural events in several states in the US for the past 10 years.

However, those cultural and religious activities in our opinion, have not yet produced the anticipated results in the American Muslim society due to their failure of transmitting the true message of the murides which is nothing other than the orthodox teachings of Islam.

The mourides, known throughout the world for their tolerance and good behavior as well as their respect of their religious faiths, are in a better position than anyone else to convey the true teachings of Islam to others of their an cognizcent of that as a community.

Therefore, those cultural activities organized on an annual basis in New York and throughout other cities in America represent a good opportunity for the Mourid Community to make its contribution in that country which represents a pole of attraction of all nations and of all religious backgrounds.

For that reason, it is encumbrance upon to the community to cease that opportunity and propagate the message of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba come to grip with its moral crises.

And in order to realize that objective, the mourides must first of all come out of their basis where the message was restricted to their limited circle, to bring it out in the open in order to react, the segment of the broader population.

Currently, the teachings are limited to other Community members and a few African-American where as the message of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba is universal, and needed top the totality of all civilized nations.

Therefore, it is necessary to restructure and reinvent the method of organization of the cultural work-end even if other experts in the area should join in.

A planning and organizing committee should be set up to operate throughout the year and that committee should have the two-fode mission of

a. To see do it that the events are so successful and
b. To go through the process of information gathering of past events so that improvements are made where seemed necessary and
c. To archive all documents relevant to the activities and translate them into languages specially English so that the wider English speaking people can be reached and
d. Broaden and wider the scope of activities by extending invitations to other communities.
